Well, this weekend was a long one. Both Kari and I were off on Friday and we had plenty to do. Friday morning we went to the doctor's office for an ultrasound (pictures below). We found out that Trae will more than likely be a big boy. The sonographer estimated his weight at 3lbs 1oz, the average is about 2.5lbs. She also said that his belly is a little big, so atleast we know that he is well fed. Kari is very nervous about how he will arrive. We weren't expecting a big baby because she hasn't gained much weight so far. Hopefully the doctors will take him early if he gets too big. After the Dr's visit, we stopped by Bullfrogs and Butteflies Daycare in Hartselle. This place is real close to our house and will more than likely be where we take Trae once Kari goes back to work. The place was really clean and everyone seemed nice. We also know someone whose daughter goes there and they are very happy. After the daycare visit, it was back to Decatur to meet with Dr.Hay, Trae's potential pediatrician. This was basically an interview to make sure that we had good insurance and that we were normal acting people! I guess we passed, cause she said that she would see Trae soon after he is born.
Friday afternoon, we headed to Nashville for one last getaway before the baby comes. We went shopping at Opry Mills and downtown Nashville and were able to take care of a few Christmas and birthday presents. Friday night we went to Zanies' Comedy Club to see D.L. Hughley. He along with the two guys that opened for him were very funny and we had a great time. We stayed the night in Nashville and returned to Opry Mills on Saturday for a few hours (we were not able to see everything the first trip). We then returned home Saturday afternoon in time to see King Saban and his jesters lose to some Indian school from Florida and then watch Auburn woop some Tebow ass down at the Swamp.
